Job Description
**Job Title** Freelance Project Migration – Akanea TMS / WMS **Role Summary** Provide independent project management for the migration of the client’s Transportation Management System (TMS) and Warehouse Management System (WMS) to Akanea. Act as liaison between internal teams and the vendor/ integrator, ensuring that the migration is executed on schedule, within scope, and that end‑users adopt the new system effectively. **Expectations** - Deliver the migration project within the agreed timeline and budget. - Facilitate smooth hand‑over between legacy systems and the new Akanea platform. - Promote user adoption through clear communication and support. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Plan, coordinate and monitor the complete migration lifecycle (pre‑migration, migration, post‑migration). 2. Define and track project milestones, deliverables, and timelines. 3. Conduct testing, quality assurance, and user acceptance testing (UAT). 4. Coordinate deployment activities with internal stakeholders and vendor/ integrator. 5. Manage project documentation, status reports, and risk logs. 6. Serve as the primary point of contact for all parties involved in the migration. 7. Support training and knowledge transfer to end users. **Required Skills** - Proven experience managing TMS and/or WMS migration projects (Akanea experience highly desirable). - Strong understanding of transport and logistics operations. - Excellent project management, planning, and organizational skills. - Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities. - Autonomous, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). - Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or similar) preferred but not mandatory.
