Job Description
**Job Title:** Security Engineer II **Role Summary:** Designs, evaluates, and strengthens security posture across enterprise systems and cloud infrastructure. Manages incident response, automates security testing, and advances security practices through research and training. **Expectations:** - 3+ years of information‑security experience; penetration testing proven. - Influence security across engineering, operations, and business units. - Deliver measurable improvements in detection, prevention, and compliance. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. **Security Evaluation & Risk Management** (30%) – Conduct risk assessments, design reviews, and QA of applications; reproduce vulnerabilities, recommend and implement mitigations; configure systems to reinforce security. 2. **Incident Response & Forensics** (25%) – Lead containment, remediation, and recovery; perform technical investigations; coordinate with stakeholders for reporting. 3. **Security Automation & Monitoring** (20%) – Automate testing and response workflows; develop SIEM alerts, monitoring pipelines, and network breach detection. 4. **Security Training & Awareness** (15%) – Develop organization‑wide awareness programs; promote security standards. 5. **Research & Innovation** (10%) – Investigate emerging threats and technologies; recommend advanced security strategies. **Required Skills:** - Penetration testing, vulnerability exploitation, and mitigation. - Incident response, forensic analysis, and containment. - SIEM design and management. - Security automation (scripts, pipelines, SOAR). - Knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, malware protection, content filtering. - Risk assessment, disaster recovery, and forensics tools. - Strong communication; translate technical info to non‑technical audiences. - Policy, standard, and procedure development. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (preferred). - Security certifications: CISSP, GISP, CISM, ISSAP, ISSEP, CEH, or CISA (strongly preferred).
