Job Description
**Job Title** Sr Load Balancer Engineer **Role Summary** Design, implement, and manage advanced application delivery and load‑balancing solutions across on‑prem, hybrid, and multi‑cloud environments. Lead enterprise‑wide traffic‑management initiatives, drive automation, governance, and incident response, and collaborate with architects, developers, security, and operations to enable high availability, scalability, and security of mission‑critical applications. **Expectations** - Deliver end‑to‑end load‑balancing architecture and modernization roadmaps. - Build and maintain automation frameworks (IaC, policy‑as‑code) to accelerate provisioning, configuration, and compliance. - Lead rapid incident response, codify playbooks, and translate lessons into service‑level standards. - Provide executive‑ready consulting and reference architectures for cloud migration and digital transformation. - Champion Agile/Lean practices and continuous improvement across matrixed teams. - Mentor and influence cross‑functional stakeholders while driving program success. **Key Responsibilities** - Architect enterprise‑grade L4‑L7 and L7‑L7 (GTM/DNS) load‑balancing solutions on AWS, Azure, GCP, and edge. - Evaluate and recommend ADC technologies (F5 BIG‑IP, NGINX, Citrix NetScaler, AVI Networks) and modernize with declarative configs, TLS/WAF, and service mesh integration. - Design global traffic routing, failover, disaster‑recovery, caching, and intelligent steering strategies. - Develop IaC pipelines (Ansible, Terraform, Python) for ADC provisioning, configuration, and decommissioning. - Integrate ADCs into CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and service meshes (Istio). - Automate certificate management, policy updates, telemetry, and observability. - Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to enforce WAF, DDoS, and secure TLS policies; conduct audits and vulnerability assessments. - Perform gap analysis, map as‑is to to‑be states, and prioritize quick‑wins and long‑term initiatives. - Create and execute solution packages (HLD, LLD, BOM, QA, automation models) following One‑Management principles. - Lead cross‑functional initiatives for application modernization, cloud migration, and digital experience optimization. **Required Skills** - Deep expertise in ADC products (F5 BIG‑IP, NGINX, Citrix NetScaler, AVI). - L4‑L7 load balancing, SSL offloading, content switching, health monitoring, GTM/DNS. - Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP – traffic‑routing, networking, and security services. - IaC & Automation: Terraform, Ansible, Python scripting, policy‑as‑code. - Container and service mesh integration with Kubernetes, Istio. - CI/CD pipeline integration. - Security: TLS/WAF, DDoS protection, PCI‑DSS, HIPAA, SOX compliance. - Incident response, playbook development, root‑cause analysis. - Governance, documentation, architecture modeling (HLD/LLD). - Agile/Lean practices, program management, stakeholder communication. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - Relevant ADC certifications (e.g., F5 Certified, Citrix Certified, NGINX Certified). - Cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, GCP Professional Cloud Architect). - IaC/DevOps certifications (Red Hat Ansible, HashiCorp Certified Terraform Associate). - Security certifications (CISSP, CISA, or equivalent). - Agile/Lean certifications (Scrum Master, PMP, ITIL) are a plus.
