Job Description
**Job Title:** Assistant Merchandiser **Role Summary:** Support end‑to‑end merchandising processes for seasonal apparel collections, coordinating with Design, Production, and Sales to deliver on-assortment, on‑timeliness, and on‑profit objectives. Maintain SKU plans, manage showroom inventories, and analyze sales data to inform future assortment and pricing decisions. **Expactations:** - Assist Merchandiser from line‑plan creation to retail launch. - Maintain accurate SKU and showroom data. - Track seasonal sell‑through and inventory performance. - Conduct market and competitive research for assortment strategy. - Collaborate cross‑functionally to meet production and sales timelines. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Support product lifecycle management – from initial assortment/line‑plan creation to retail launch. 2. Update and maintain SKU plans and showroom inventory. 3. Track and analyze sales and inventory performance (sell‑through, best/worst items). 4. Assist in range planning for upcoming seasons. 5. Conduct competitive research and market analysis to support assortment strategy, pricing, and product positioning. 6. Collaborate with Design, Production, and Sales to ensure smooth execution of assortment strategies, delivery timelines, and product launches. **Required Skills:** - Strong analytical and numerical aptitude with experience in sales and inventory data analysis. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and office productivity tools; familiarity with assortment planning or PLM systems is an advantage. - Excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail, and capability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines. - Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to present findings and recommendations clearly. - Commercial awareness of fashion retail trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Apparel Design, Business, or a related discipline. - 1–3 years of relevant experience in apparel merchandising, retail planning, product management, or a related role (internships acceptable).
