Job title: Entry‑Level Web Developer
Role Summary:
Development and maintenance of corporate and e‑commerce websites, primarily on Shopify, and support full‑stack web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP. Works under a Marketing Manager, collaborating with designers, copywriters, and senior developers to deliver optimized, responsive web experiences.
Expectations:
• Learn e‑commerce and web development best practices.
• Contribute to site performance, SEO, and user experience improvements.
• Collaborate effectively across interdisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and customize Shopify themes per design specifications.
• Build and maintain corporate websites with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP.
• Optimize page speed, metadata, alt tags, and responsive functionality.
• Debug web and Shopify issues, perform routine troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with senior developers, designers, copywriters to finalize digital assets.
• Participate in monthly site audits, generate performance reports.
• Assist with DNS/domain management and database tasks as needed.
• Manage code using Git version control.
• Stay current with Shopify updates, web technologies, and industry best practices.
Required Skills:
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP fundamentals.
• Basic Shopify and Liquid templating knowledge.
• Version control proficiency (Git).
• Knowledge of SEO principles, UX, responsive design.
• Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving, and teamwork.
Required Education & Certifications:
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Relevant certifications or a portfolio demonstrating Shopify or full‑stack development experience considered essential.
