Job Description
Job Title: Information Security Analyst Role Summary: The Information Security Analyst safeguards the organization’s information assets across the entire Nova Bus ecosystem. The role involves proactive vulnerability management, incident analysis, and continuous improvement of security, privacy, and compliance controls. The analyst collaborates with cross‑functional teams, advises stakeholders, and supports both IT Risk Management (ITRM) and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) initiatives. Expactations: - Validate defenses against emerging threats and regulatory changes. - Deliver clear, actionable reports on incident trends, mitigation plans, and remediation status. - Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of security standards, laws, and best practices. Key Responsibilities: - Manage execution and enhancement of the vulnerability management program. - Provide security expertise to IT projects, aligning technical solutions with risk objectives. - Analyze security incidents, including confidentiality and compliance issues, and design effective responses. - Design, execute, and refine security, privacy, and compliance mechanisms. - Prepare incident progress reports and mitigation/remediation documentation. - Develop and update security policies, procedures, and supporting documentation. - Contribute to the overall Information Security program’s evolution. - Support ITRM and ERM initiatives across technology and enterprise domains. - Engage personnel at all levels to raise security awareness and promote best practices. - Keep current on industry regulations, standards, and emerging threats. Required Skills: - Strong analytical skills for technical and business information. - Excellent communication, including technical writing and public speaking. - Ability to interact seamlessly with non‑technical staff. - Knowledge of data classification principles and processes. - Proven track record in vulnerability assessment and incident response. - Experience with transport or related industry environments preferred. - Solutions‑oriented mindset with precision in information handling. - Team player culture, autonomy, and integrity. - Bilingual French/English proficiency (English mandatory). Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity or related field (or equivalent experience). - Minimum 5 years of IT experience, with at least 2 years as a cybersecurity analyst. - Security certification: CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CSSP, or equivalent. - Understanding of security system solutions and industry‑specific regulations.
