Job Description
**Job Title** Security and Logistics Officer **Role Summary** Provide comprehensive security support and secure transport of medical samples within a multi‑site healthcare network. Execute incident reporting, patrols, event protection, equipment audits, and liaison duties with law enforcement and emergency services. **Expectations** - Maintain a safe, welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. - Deliver high‑volume patient samples/medications reliably and securely. - Respond to and manage security incidents per established protocols. - Act as the primary point of contact for local law‑enforcement and emergency responders. **Key Responsibilities** - Conduct daily foot patrols and facility checks at designated locations. - Complete incident reports accurately and promptly. - Manage delivery routes, track shipments with handheld scanners, and ensure timely drop‑offs. - Provide security coverage for on‑site and off‑site events, including special event coordination. - Perform audits of disaster equipment, supplies, and vehicle cleanliness. - Maintain radios, alarms, access control, and surveillance systems; troubleshoot equipment failures. - Liaise with local police, maintain contacts, and address safety concerns. - Support the Regional Security Manager by training staff/volunteers on security and emergency procedures. - Conduct site surveys and equipment audits as directed. - Ensure compliance with all agency‑required security trainings and records. **Required Skills** - Strong knowledge of security protocols, warning system color codes, and incident‑response procedures. - Effective written and verbal communication with employees and stakeholders. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team on security projects. - Basic troubleshooting of alarm, panic, access control, and surveillance equipment. - Reliable driving skills and familiarity with vehicle maintenance. - Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism. **Required Education & Certifications** - High school diploma or equivalent (required). - Proprietary Private Security Officer license (required upon hire). - Threat Liaison Officer course (required within 90 days). - CPR certification (required within 90 days). - IAHSS Security Officer certification (required within 120 days). **Preferred Qualifications** - College coursework in a related discipline. - ≥3 years of security experience, preferably in a healthcare setting. - Courier or company‑vehicle driving experience.
