Job Description
**Job Title:** Security Assurance Coordinator (DTSL) **Role Summary:** Lead the central security function for Navy Digital within the Security as a Service team. Act as the focal point for all security elements across fixed and deployed Royal Navy capabilities, prioritise and allocate security resources, and deliver comprehensive information assurance to support Navy Digital projects and broader MoD objectives. **Expectations:** - Obtain and maintain MOD Security Clearance to SC level. - Deliver timely, high‑quality security assessments, accreditation, and risk documentation for Navy Digital initiatives. - Communicate and collaborate with MoD Information Assurance stakeholders and Navy Digital delivery teams. - Adapt security practices to evolving maritime and defence requirements. **Key Responsibilities:** - Prioritise existing and new security requirements against Royal Navy objectives. - Allocate SQEP (Security Qualifications and Experience Programme) resources to projects and programmes. - Manage resource demand and capacity for the Security as a Service function. - Plan and oversee lifecycle security activity across Navy Digital programmes. - Develop accreditation and assurance strategies for complex maritime and defence environments. - Produce key Information Assurance deliverables – including high‑ and low‑level security requirements, Risk Management & Accreditation Document Set (RMADS), Data Privacy Impact Assessments (DPIAs), and Security Cases. - Identify, report, and escalation cyber risk across Navy Digital. - Interface between Navy Digital projects and MoD Information Assurance stakeholders (Cyber Defence, Risk Accreditors). - Provide guidance on implementing technical, physical & procedural security controls in line with MOD policy and UK operating environments. **Required Skills:** - Security Assurance and/or Cyber Risk experience. - Knowledge of industry standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001, NIST, ISO/IEC 27015). - Understanding of MOD security requirements and maritime/​naval context (advantageous). - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Adherence to documented processes and procedures. - Computer literate; proficient with Microsoft Office applications. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Higher education qualification or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Cyber Security, or related field. - MOD Security Clearance to SC level (or willingness to undergo clearance). - Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, or similar are highly desirable.
