Job Description

Job Title: Merchandise Intern – 2025‑26 Season Role Summary: Assist in all aspects of retail merchandising for a professional sports team, including in‑game sales operations, online store management, and inventory logistics. Gain hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced sports organization while supporting front‑office teams and community events. Expectations: - Attend every home game during the internship term (including nights, weekends, and holidays). - Fulfill duties in the team store during games and during scheduled office hours. - Demonstrate professionalism, a customer‑first mindset, and a strong work ethic in all interactions. Key Responsibilities: **Game‑Day Operations** - Set up and dismantle the team store each home game. - Operate Point‑of‑Sale (POS) system, process sales, and handle cash. - Restock merchandise, maintain store appearance, and provide excellent customer support. **In‑Office Duties** - Receive new inventory and update Shopify database. - Fulfill online orders and manage Shopify auctions. - Participate in inventory maintenance and ordering meetings. - Observe and support merchandising reporting processes. **Additional Tasks** - Attend office hours and training sessions to broaden merchandising knowledge. - Assist with other duties as assigned by the Front Office. Required Skills: - Strong verbal and written communication. - Self‑starter with initiative and the ability to work independently. - Comfortable working under pressure and in a fast‑paced environment. - Customer‑service orientation and professional appearance. - Ability to lift up to 30 lb and stand, bend, and walk frequently. - Basic computer proficiency; knowledge of Shopify is a plus. Required Education & Certifications: - Currently pursuing or recently completed a four‑year college degree (or higher) in Marketing, Business Administration, Sports Management, or a related field. - No specific certifications required; Shopify experience preferred.
