**Job Title**
Railway Systems Engineer (Automation Systems) – F/M
**Role Summary**
Collaborate with project and integration teams to specify, design, integrate, and validate railway automation systems within broader railway architectures. Ensure adherence to safety, resilience, and cybersecurity standards, oversee supplier performance, and provide system expertise for maintenance and future projects.

**Key Responsibilities**
1. **System Engineering** – Specify, design, integrate, and validate railway automation systems; model systems, define use cases, and establish verification and qualification plans.
2. **Architecture & Safety** – Embed automation components into railway architectures; enforce safety, risk analysis, resilience, and cybersecurity requirements.
3. **Supplier Management** – Monitor and manage external suppliers’ technical delivery of automation equipment.
4. **Project Integration** – Implement system engineering methods, assess impact on integration, validation, verification, and qualification strategies, and enhance project quality and performance.
5. **Maintenance Expertise** – Facilitate grand Paris infrastructure maintenance; conduct system expertise studies; support maintenance teams in preventive, predictive, and obsolescence processes.
6. **Strategic Oversight** – Drive homogenization, performance, availability, and compliance of railway systems; lead addressing plans; propose innovations and research initiatives.
7. **Field Activities** – Plan, supervise, and participate in on‑site project and expertisation tasks.
**Required Skills**
- 5 + years experience in railway systems engineering.
- Strong analytical, synthesis, and global problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency in telecom technologies and architectures.
- Knowledge of system engineering and integration methods.
- Project management and teamwork capability.
- Excellent written and oral communication.
- Rigour, organization, and sense of responsibility.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Master’s degree (MSc) equivalent (5‑year university program) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Systems Engineering, Railway Engineering, or related field.
- Certifications in system engineering (e.g., INCOSE CSCS, ISO 26262) preferred.
