Job Description
Job Title: IT Assistant Role Summary Provide day‑to‑day support for Salesforce, knowledge management, and core IT services. Administer Salesforce and Apple‑based systems, deliver help desk support, manage hardware and software lifecycles, and assist with strategy, continuity planning, and vendor coordination. Expectations • Ensure reliable operation of Salesforce and related data assets. • Deliver prompt, user‑friendly technical assistance. • Maintain accurate asset inventories and documentation. • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to implement system upgrades. Key Responsibilities - Salesforce Administration - Maintain and update contact, organizational, and program records. - Create and optimize reports, dashboards, and grant‑management workflows. - Provide training, documentation, and ongoing support to users. - Liaise with Salesforce consultants and vendors for platform enhancements and security updates. - Operational Support - Serve as primary help‑desk contact; log, prioritize, and resolve tickets. - Install, configure, troubleshoot, and monitor end‑user workstations, cloud apps, and networked equipment. - Track technology inventory, lifecycle, and procurement. - IT Strategy & Continuity - Assist with capacity planning and future technology needs. - Support business‑continuity and disaster‑recovery processes. - Coordinate system, platform, and hardware deployments with stakeholders and vendors. - Maintain knowledge of software, hardware, and cloud subscriptions; manage provisioning and offboarding. Required Skills - Salesforce administration (Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud, Grantmaking platform). - Help‑desk support with ticketing systems (e.g., Freshservice). - Experience with Apple ecosystems (macOS, iPadOS, iOS) and related management tools (Jamf, Apple Business Manager). - Hardware and software lifecycle management. - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. - Ability to create training materials and end‑user documentation. Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent professional experience. - Minimum two years of Salesforce administration experience in a professional or nonprofit setting. - Minimum two years in an IT support role focused on Apple products. - Certifications preferred: Salesforce Administrator, Jamf Pro Administrator, or equivalent.
