**Job Title:** Senior Software Engineer (AI/ML Specialization)
**Role Summary:**
Lead the design, implementation, and scaling of AI/ML‑enabled production systems for a B2B payments platform. Own the end‑to‑end delivery of data pipelines, inference services, and model lifecycle tooling, while mentoring cross‑functional teams and communicating technical strategy to senior leadership. Deliver reliable, cloud‑native microservices with robust observability, CI/CD, and responsible AI governance.
**Expectations:**
- 8+ years building and operating production software; 2–4+ years delivering AI/ML features in production (not research).
- Proven experience with large‑scale, data‑intensive systems on AWS.
- Deep familiarity with Postgres, DynamoDB, containers, IaC, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong coding in Python plus either Java or TypeScript.
- Hands‑on expertise in ML pipelines (feature stores, training, model registries), LLMs, and model serving/monitoring.
- Advanced data‑analysis, experiment design, A/B testing, and statistical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication for executive and engineering audiences.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Own technical vision and architecture for AI/ML products and platforms.
- Design and ship cloud‑native APIs, microservices, and event‑driven workflows with clear SLOs and observability.
- Write production‑grade code, conduct code reviews, and maintain coding standards.
- Build batch and streaming data pipelines; optimize inference paths and harden ML integration points.
- Select, evaluate, and operationalize supervised/unsupervised, NLP, recommendation, time‑series, anomaly detection, and RL models.
- Monitor model drift, performance, cost, and bias; enforce responsible AI practices.
- Analyze product/operational data, design experiments, set success metrics, and build dashboards.
- Translate insights into backlog items, architectural improvements, and retraining plans.
- Lead architecture reviews, write RFCs, and provide concise updates to senior management.
- Collaborate with Product, Data, Security, and Compliance teams; uphold security, privacy, and governance standards.
**Required Skills:**
- Python (primary) + Java or TypeScript
- AWS architecture and services (compute, storage, networking)
- Postgres, DynamoDB (NoSQL)
- Containerization (Docker), orchestration (K8s), IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation)
- ML pipeline components: feature store, training workflow, CI/CD, model registry, LLMs, inference serving
- Data integration: ETL/ELT, batch & streaming pipelines
- Experimentation, A/B testing, statistical analysis, metric definition
- Model monitoring, drift detection, bias testing, governance, data privacy compliance (PII)
- Strong communication: technical documentation, RFCs, executive briefings
**Required Education & Certifications:**
