Job Description
Job title: Economist – Intern (Economic Impact) Role Summary: Assist senior economists in carrying out large‑scale economic impact studies, including data collection, econometric modeling, and the preparation of analytical reports and presentations. Expectations: - Work on real research projects with clear deadlines. - Demonstrate initiative, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset. - Apply quantitative methods and communicate findings to non‑specialists. Key Responsibilities: - Compile, clean, and organize datasets for impact and workforce analyses. - Develop and validate econometric models using statistical software. - Contribute to literature reviews and secondary data synthesis. - Draft sections of impact reports, policy briefs, and client presentations. - Support the creation of interactive tools or visualizations. - Track project milestones and assist in client and internal stakeholder communication. Required Skills: - Strong quantitative reasoning in economics, statistics, or mathematics. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). - Working knowledge of at least one statistical package (e.g., SAS, R, Python, Stata, EViews). - Good written and verbal communication for conveying complex ideas to non‑economists. - Detail‑oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks. - Collaborative, creative, and critical thinking abilities.
