**Job Title** QA Engineer (Manual) **Role Summary** A manual QA professional responsible for testing patient‑facing web and mobile products that are regulated as Software‑as‑Medical‑Device (SaMD). The role involves creating and executing test plans, documenting results, and collaborating with Scrum teams to ensure comprehensive coverage and adherence to quality certifications. The position offers a pathway to gain automation experience, particularly with Cypress and mobile UI automation. **Expactations** - Minimum 2 years of manual QA experience in web and mobile environments - Right to work in the UK for at least 2 years - Strong attention to detail and disciplined approach to testing - Interest in learning and progressing into automation - Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced Scrum setting and collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA peers **Key Responsibilities** - Work within Scrum teams to define and execute effective testing strategies for new and existing features - Develop high‑quality acceptance criteria and detailed test plans using specification methods such as BDD - Perform manual testing across web and mobile platforms, ensuring coverage of all specified functionalities - Record, track, and report test results in an audit‑ready manner aligned with organizational quality certifications - Author and maintain clear QA documentation to support onboarding and knowledge sharing - Champion QA best practices and contribute to a culture of quality across the team **Required Skills** - 2 + years of manual QA experience on web and mobile applications - Strong understanding of QA best practices and test documentation standards - Excellent technical writing capabilities for acceptance criteria, test plans, and defect reports - Experience in a Scrum or Agile development environment - Humility, self‑starter attitude, and a willingness to learn from others - Familiarity or experience with modern test‑automation tools (JavaScript, Cypress) is a plus **Required Education & Certifications** - Successful academic background (e.g., bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field) *or* equivalent relevant commercial experience - No specific certifications required; knowledge of regulated software testing standards is desirable.
