Job Description

Job Title Security Systems Engineer (CMMC) Role Summary Responsible for deploying, maintaining, and securing Gov Secure Chambers to meet CMMC Level 2 and NIST 800‑171 requirements. Leads automation, compliance guidance (ITAR, CUI, EAR), and cross‑functional coordination to ensure secure environments and continuous improvement. Expectations - US Person authorized to work in the US. - 8+ years of IT experience in information security, network security administration, or engineering. - Proven expertise in securing highly sensitive data, conducting security assessments, and implementing mitigations. - Strong communication and translation of technical requirements into actionable plans. - Proactive, detail‑oriented problem solving. Key Responsibilities - Engage stakeholders to deploy and support highly secure system environments. - Automate systems and support functions. - Maintain and improve secure chambers to exceed industry security standards. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to keep security measures current. - Provide expert guidance on ITAR, CUI, EAR compliance. - Stay informed on CMMC and related frameworks; proactively address changes or enhancements. Required Skills - Linux/Windows administration and scripting (Shell, Python). - Virtualization platforms: VMware, Proxmox, OpenStack (≥3 years). - Infrastructure monitoring: Prometheus/Grafana, Zabbix/CheckMk; vulnerability scanning and penetration testing tools. - ServiceNow ticketing (≥3 years). - Jira project tracking (≥5 years). - Knowledge of CMMC, NIST 800‑171, ITAR, CUI, EAR. - Strong communication, problem‑solving, and documentation skills.
