Job Description
**Job Title:** Sector Manager – Touraine Region (Funeral Services) **Role Summary:** Lead and develop the company’s funeral and marble‑working operations within the Touraine territory. Report to the General Director, ensure regulatory compliance, quality standards, and family satisfaction while managing technical and administrative teams across multiple sites. **Expectations:** - Autonomous, organized, and able to prioritize daily activities. - Mobile (valid driving licence B) and available to travel across all sites in the sector. - Strong leadership and people‑development skills; capable of fostering a positive social climate. - Excellent interpersonal and presentation abilities; empathetic and professional when dealing with bereaved families, partners, and local institutions. - Results‑oriented with a focus on continuous improvement and cost control. **Key Responsibilities:** - Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, health establishments, training centres, prescribers and local partners; represent the company and communicate its values. - Design and deliver information, training and engagement programmes for partners. - Identify growth opportunities; propose and implement actions to enhance service quality and operational performance. - Oversee operational planning of funeral transports, marble work, and team scheduling; ensure service compliance and optimal resource use. - Manage operational incidents and disputes; guarantee adherence to funeral regulations and safety standards. - Supervise, coach and manage technical and administrative staff: workforce planning, recruitment, training, competency development, discipline and internal communication. - Control logistics, inventory, procurement and budgeting; monitor costs, develop performance indicators, produce activity reports and handle invoicing. - Represent the company on‑site during ceremonies, especially high‑profile events, supporting teams in the field. **Required Skills:** - Proven managerial experience in funeral services or related sector (agency, funeral chambers, depots). - Operational planning and logistics coordination. - Knowledge of funeral industry regulations and safety standards. - Financial management: budgeting, cost control, KPI tracking. - Strong stakeholder management and networking abilities. - Excellent communication, public speaking and conflict resolution skills. - Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive continuous improvement. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Diploma/qualification as a Funeral Advisor (Conseiller Funéraire) or equivalent. - Valid driving licence (Category B). - Relevant certifications in health & safety or industry‑specific compliance (preferred).
