Job title: DevOps Engineer
Role Summary: Design and document authentic DevOps and backend incident scenarios for an AI training initiative; create benchmark tasks and contribute to secure, scalable, Kubernetes‑native architectures.
Expectations: 5–12 years of hands‑on DevOps or backend experience; contract, remote (US, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, UK, NZ, Australia, Argentina, Germany, France, Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Ireland, Denmark, Finland, Colombia, Brazil); 20–40 hrs/week over 8–16 weeks; pay $40–$80/hr based on expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Capture real DevOps and backend incidents (outages, scaling, security, distributed systems) and convert them into benchmark tasks.
- Contribute to secure, scalable Kubernetes‑native architecture design and documentation.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, observability dashboards, identity solutions, IaC, and backend services.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop realistic engineering workflows.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency with Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD (GitLab CI preferred).
- Strong programming in Go, Python, or Java; Docker, gRPC, and Kubernetes‑native services.
- Experience with secure, offline/air‑gapped deployments (a plus).
- Familiarity with at least five of: Identity & Access Management, Prometheus + Grafana, CI/CD Pipelines, Keycloak, GitLab CI, Terraform OSS, Kubernetes ecosystem, ML/distributed pipelines.
