Job Description
**Job title:** Civil or Environmental Engineering Co‑op Intern **Role Summary:** A paid, 40‑hour/week internship for a current civil or environmental engineering student. Provides hands‑on field and office experience in stream/wetland restoration, site grading, stormwater management, and inspections. The role supports project managers, contributes to data management, and fosters professional development within an environmental consulting firm. **Expectations:** - Begin early May (if possible) and finish mid‑late August 2026; early start or extended work accepted. - Travel field ~50% of time, including up to two weeks at a project site. - Complete assigned tasks, attend team meetings, and deliver field and office documentation. - Exhibit strong communication, teamwork, and independent problem‑solving skills. **Key Responsibilities:** - Assist project managers and field leads on engineering projects (restoration, grading, stormwater, inspections). - Conduct fieldwork, collect data, perform basic survey and monitoring tasks. - Maintain data integrity; prepare and update reports and documentation. - Use GIS, GPS, and mapping tools for data collection and analysis. - Support office activities: data entry, report drafting, and project coordination. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary team and present findings when requested. **Required Skills:** - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. - Valid driver’s license; capable of operating a 4WD vehicle in remote conditions. - Strong written and verbal communication; attention to detail. - Ability to learn new survey, monitoring, and data collection techniques. - Basic GPS and digital data collection familiarity; willingness to use ArcGIS. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Current enrollment in a bachelor’s program in civil or environmental engineering (or related field). - Completed at least one year of engineering coursework. - Preferable experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, or similar mapping software. - Participation in a university‑integrated co‑op program is preferred.

Interns will perform day‑to‑day security administration, assist with security assessments, and gain exposure to incident response and compliance processes.
