Job Description

Job Title: Junior Python Developer / Analyst (Internship) Role Summary Junior Python Developer (Internship) focused on building financial data pipelines, dashboards, and analytical tools. Works on web scraping, data extraction, API integration, and visualization within a hedge‑fund environment. Expectations - 12‑month internship, deliver real‑world financial software projects. - Demonstrate learning agility, proactive problem‑solving, and collaboration across cross‑functional teams. Key Responsibilities 1. Design, develop, and maintain data collection pipelines (web scraping, API calls). 2. Build and host interactive dashboards and web apps on AWS. 3. Parse and extract structured/unstructured data from HTML and other sources. 4. Analyze financial datasets, optimize algorithms, and produce reports. 5. Write clean, testable Python code in line with PEP 8 and production best practices. 6. Integrate external data providers and enhance analytics capabilities. 7. Document code, system functions, and workflow for internal stakeholders. 8. Stay current with Python development and financial technology trends. 9. Collaborate with teammates to design, implement, and troubleshoot new modules. 10. Resolve software issues promptly and contribute to continuous improvement. Required Skills - Proficient in Python (data pipelines, automation, scalable code). - Experience or familiarity with web automation tools (Selenium, Playwright). - Knowledge of databases (SQL) and data visualization libraries (Matplotlib, Plotly, Streamlit). - Basic understanding of financial markets and concepts. - Familiarity with API integration and data handling. - Strong problem‑solving, attention to detail, and independent work capability. - Effective written and verbal communication.
