Job Description

Job title: IT Support Technician Role Summary: Deliver desktop and network support to end‑users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, maintain support documentation, and assist in IT asset management. Expectations: Minimum 1 year in a similar role, BTEC/NVQ or vendor‑specific certification (e.g., Microsoft, CompTIA), full‑time 12‑month contract, Monday‑Friday schedule. Key Responsibilities: - Respond to and resolve user tickets via help desk system. - Install, configure, and troubleshoot PC hardware, peripherals, and software. - Perform basic network support tasks (Wi‑Fi, VPN, LAN). - Backup and restore data, administer antivirus and security patches. - Document solutions, update knowledge base, and report recurring issues. - Assist with IT inventory and equipment lifecycle management. Required Skills: - Proficient troubleshooting of Windows OS and common productivity applications. - Familiarity with Active Directory, Exchange, and Office 365. - Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS). - Excellent communication and customer‑service skills. - Ability to work independently and prioritise multiple tickets.
