Job Description: Job title: Engineering Manager Role Summary: Leads a small, high‑performing team of 4‑6 engineers to design, build, and operate large‑scale GPU cloud infrastructure. Balances 40% hands‑on engineering with 60% leadership, strategy, and roadmap execution for Platform Services, billing, and Compute services. Expectations: - Manage people, processes, and culture in a fast‑moving, early‑stage environment. - Own technical vision and deliverables, collaborating closely with Product to meet quarterly goals. - Demonstrate autonomy, ownership, and proactive problem solving. Key Responsibilities: - Hire, mentor, and grow engineering talent; set clear objectives and OKRs. - Define and drive the GPU infrastructure roadmap covering Kubernetes, containerization, and cloud services. - Conduct code reviews, design reviews, and incident response to maintain high engineering quality. - Build and maintain scalable systems in Kubernetes using Golang and GitOps/FluxCD pipelines. - Partner with Product to prioritize features, refine specs, and deliver on compute and billing objectives. - Create and enforce engineering standards, documentation, and automation tooling. Required Skills: - 5+ years of software engineering, 2+ years in a leadership role. - Deep expertise in Kubernetes, containerization, and cloud infrastructure. - Proficiency in Golang or comparable system programming language. - Proven record of shipping production systems at scale. - Experience managing engineering‑product roadmaps and delivering on quarterly targets. - Strong AI‑assistant usage skills for rapid prototyping, debugging, and refactoring. - Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross‑functional collaboration. Bonus Skills (not required): - GPU or CUDA/ROCm experience with AI/ML workloads. - Familiarity with virtualization (KubeVirt, KVM). - Knowledge of billing systems, usage‑based pricing. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is required. - No specific certifications mandatory.
