Job Description

Job title Sr. Software Engineer (Java/Backend) Role Summary Senior backend engineer focused on building, testing, and deploying warehouse automation and logistics software. Works closely with developers and subject‑matter experts to deliver high‑quality solutions that meet customer expectations and operational requirements. Expactations - Deliver robust code that fulfills functional and technical specifications. - Support software commissioning and post‑implementation operations. - Mentor junior team members and maintain coding best practices. - Actively participate in 24/7 on‑call rotation for critical support. - Lead scrum activities, ensuring timely task completion and backlog refinement. Key Responsibilities - Collaborate with developers and SMEs to design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions. - Write and maintain Java and C# code, applying object‑oriented principles and optimization techniques. - Create and execute unit, integration, and functional test plans, including equipment‑emulation testing. - Execute onsite commissioning of software and provide start‑up support. - Participate in on‑call rotation to ensure continuous operational support. - Mentor and guide junior developers on best practices, coding standards, and debugging. - Lead daily scrum meetings, prioritize tasks, and manage sprint planning. - Maintain source code using version control systems and ensure clean, documented code. - Engage in agile process improvement and collaborate with cross‑functional teams. Required Skills - 3+ years of software engineering experience in an object‑oriented environment. - Proficient in Java; experience with C#/.NET is essential. - Strong knowledge of asynchronous and parallel programming. - Expertise with IDEs: Microsoft Visual Studio, Eclipse, NetBeans. - Solid understanding of code optimization, design patterns, and OOP principles. - Experience with relational database development (SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL). - Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum/XP) and sprint planning. - Proficient in unit and integration testing, and test‑automation frameworks. - Strong source‑control skills (Git, SVN, or TFS). - Excellent verbal and written communication for diverse audiences. - Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience. - Agile or Scrum certification (e.g., CSPO, CSM) is a plus but not required.
