Job Description
**Job Title:** AI Simulation and Control Engineer **Role Summary:** Design, develop, and deploy AI agents that control high‑tech greenhouses, integrating simulation models with real‑time control frameworks to optimize crop yields and resource use. **Expectations:** - Deliver end‑to‑end AI solutions for multiple greenhouse clients within a fast‑growth startup environment. - Achieve measurable performance gains in yield, energy, and water efficiency. - Continuously improve system performance through data‑driven iteration and stakeholder collaboration. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. On‑site evaluation of greenhouse hardware, crop biology, and environmental dynamics. 2. Adapt and calibrate physics‑based simulation models to new customer data. 3. Train machine‑learning models (including reinforcement, supervised, and physics‑informed methods) on proprietary greenhouse data. 4. Integrate trained models into the AI control framework, enabling real‑time actuator management. 5. Monitor system performance, analyze outcomes, and implement iterative improvements. 6. Collaborate closely with agronomy experts to align AI objectives with agricultural goals. **Required Skills:** - Proven experience training ML models and optimizing performance. - Strong foundation in at least one of the following: Machine Learning, Optimization, Control theory (MPC, optimal control, classical feedback), Reinforcement Learning, Physics modeling, Numerical simulation. - Python software engineering (Julia knowledge is a plus). - Familiarity with software engineering practices: containerization, version control, CI/CD, and deployment pipelines. - Ability to translate complex simulation outputs into actionable control policies. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related field. - Advanced coursework or experience in control systems, ML, or physics‑based modeling is preferred. ---
