Job title: Business Analyst – Trading & Asset Management Technology
Role Summary: Deliver business analysis support for trading and reporting systems in a live financial services environment. Gather requirements, analyse system impacts, and coordinate release management to ensure operational resilience, regulatory compliance, and accurate real‑time data flows.
Expectations: Strong background in financial services and trading technology. Ability to work with complex real‑time and persistent messaging architectures. Competent in stakeholder engagement, change delivery, and quality assurance. Proven experience with SQL/Oracle data analysis and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
• Gather, document, and validate business requirements from front‑office, compliance, and technology teams.
• Perform impact analysis on existing platforms and identify solution options.
• Plan, coordinate, and certify application changes for live trading environments, ensuring controlled releases and adherence to regulatory standards.
• Manage release management processes including build, test, and deployment to production.
• Support real‑time messaging systems (market data, trade events, downstream reporting) and maintain data integrity.
• Analyse data using SQL/Oracle, develop reports, and assist with reconciliation and controls.
• Work with enterprise databases and financial data models to support business processes.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to deliver robust, compliant solutions.
Required Skills
• Business Analysis in financial services/trading technology
• Knowledge of financial instruments: CDS, IRS, fixed income, equities, equity derivatives, ETD, commodity, FX
• Real‑time messaging, VBA, Excel, XSLT, XML
• Release management, change delivery, live trading environments
• SQL, Oracle, database analysis, reporting & reconciliation
• Stakeholder management, communication, problem solving
Required Education & Certifications
• Bachelor’s degree (Business, Finance, IT, or related field) or equivalent professional experience
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI‑PBA, or equivalent) preferred but not mandatory.
