**Job Title:** Business Development Coordinator **Role Summary:** Entry‑level professional supporting commercial and tender activities within the temporary electrics and site services sector. Reports to the Bid Manager and assists in bid preparation, client communication, opportunity tracking, and coordination of internal resources to drive successful tender outcomes. **Expectations:** - Deliver professional telephone and email communication with existing and prospective clients. - Maintain accurate records and meet all tender deadlines. - Show strong organization, attention to detail, and a proactive willingness to learn. - Collaborate effectively with estimating, operations, QS, and contracts teams. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct daily inbound/outbound calls with clients and contractors; log interactions in CRM. - Support the Bid Manager with pre‑qualification questionnaires (PQQs), tender documents, and bid submissions. - Gather required information from internal departments and format bid materials. - Track tender schedules, submissions, and outcomes; prepare related reports and summaries. - Monitor construction market platforms; log new opportunities and assist in early‑stage bid reviews. - Prepare and maintain trackers, pipeline reports, and handover documentation. - Attend occasional site visits or internal meetings to understand project scope. **Required Skills:** - Confident verbal and written communication (phone and email). - Comfortable making regular outbound and inbound calls. - Highly organized with strong attention to detail. - Proactive attitude and eagerness to develop commercial skills. - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). - Interest in construction, engineering, or commercial environments. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent. - Desirable: Apprenticeship or qualification in Business, Construction, or related field. - Prior experience in an office‑based, customer‑facing, or coordination role is advantageous but not required. - Familiarity with CRM systems or tender portals is a plus.
