Job Description
**Job Title:** Business Development Manager – Consumer Products **Role Summary:** Drive revenue growth by securing and expanding business with existing and new consumer‑product clients. Collaborate with internal engineering, procurement, and project teams to deliver tailored solutions, manage the full sales cycle, and maintain high‑level client relationships. **Expactations:** • Deliver profitable sales results for engineering and construction services. • Act as strategic partner and thought leader in the consumer‑product sector. • Mentor and lead other business‑development team members. • Provide market intelligence, competitive analysis, and industry trends to inform strategy. **Key Responsibilities:** - Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities in consumer products. - Partner with the Vertical Lead to shape and execute go‑to‑market strategies. - Prepare, present, and negotiate proposals, pricing, and contracts. - Close deals, ensuring alignment with project delivery teams on resource staffing. - Serve as primary client contact to deepen relationships and drive repeat work. - Develop and update industry collateral and competitive intelligence. - Participate in project management oversight for engagements sold. - Mentor and manage junior business‑development staff. - Coordinate cross‑functional teams in a matrix organization to meet client commitments. **Required Skills:** - Proven B2B sales experience in engineering, maintenance, or construction for consumer‑products. - Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. - Client‑focused, with ability to understand and translate commercial needs into services. - Analytical mindset for evaluating project investment drivers. - Ability to navigate a matrixed organization and manage resources. - Entrepreneurial spirit and confidence in challenging status quo. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. - Valid professional certification (e.g., PMP, PE, or equivalent) preferred.
