**Job Title**: Senior Instructional Designer **Role Summary**: Lead the design and development of a 10‑module experiential curriculum that teaches small, minority‑ and women‑owned businesses how to write, submit, and win government contracts. The role focuses on creating engaging, facilitator‑led learning experiences that can be delivered both in‑person and virtually, with a strong emphasis on real‑world application and measurable competency. **Expectations**: - Contract term: 6 months, part‑time, remote with occasional virtual meetings. - Estimated commitment: ~75 hours per month. - Deliverables include fully documented instructional architecture, learning objectives, assessments, interactive activities, and facilitator guides. - Provide a portfolio of previous experiential learning projects. **Key Responsibilities**: - Apply ADDIE/SAM methodologies to design instructional architecture for all modules. - Write clear, measurable learning objectives aligned with competency outcomes. - Develop authentic assessments that gauge learner capability, not just attendance. - Design interactive activities (case studies, workshops, role‑plays) suitable for adult learners with time constraints. - Create comprehensive facilitator guides to ensure consistent delivery. - Ensure all materials are effective in both in‑person and virtual settings. - Collaborate with subject‑matter experts and procurement professionals for content relevance. - Iterate designs based on pilot feedback and completion metrics. **Required Skills**: - Minimum 5 years of curriculum design experience for adult learners; government or small‑business focus is a plus. - Deep knowledge of adult learning principles (Knowles’ Andragogy, experiential learning). - Proven expertise in facilitator‑led instructional design, not solely e‑learning. - Portfolio demonstrating interactive, experiential learning solutions. - Ability to design materials adaptable to in‑person and virtual delivery. - Strong project management, documentation, and communication skills. **Required Education & Certifications**: - Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field. - Professional certifications in instructional design (e.g., ATD Certified Instructional Designer, PMI-ACP, or equivalent) preferred. ---
