**Job Title**: Childcare Assistant / Multi‑Skill Early Childhood Worker
**Role Summary**
To support a private micro‑crèche with 10 infant beds, ensuring the health, safety, and developmental needs of children ages 0‑6. Works within a young, dynamic team under the direction of a manager to deliver a play‑based, socially‑focused early education program.
**Expectations**
Provide compassionate, hygiene‑compliant care; maintain a clean environment; manage food preparation; support routine activities; communicate actively with team and families; adhere to legal and institutional standards. Demonstrate flexibility, teamwork, and a commitment to child‑centered values.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Warm and serve breast‑milk and toddler meals, following HACCP protocols.
- Perform cleaning, disinfecting, and general upkeep of facilities and toys; manage laundry and linen stock.
- Assist with feeding, diaper changes, and sleep supervision, observing safety and hygiene rules.
- Monitor and record child progress and any care incidents; update the team and families.
- Implement the institution’s pedagogical plan (free play, outings, socialisation, autonomy, sustainability).
- Attend scheduled meetings, contribute to continuous improvement, and support team cohesion.
- Ensure children’s physical and emotional safety; create a comforting, stimulating environment.
**Required Skills**
- Strong knowledge of cold‑chain management for infant feeding, bottle preparation, and HACCP standards.
- Proficiency in routine cleaning, linen care, surface disinfection, and toy hygiene.
- Understanding of 0‑6 year developmental milestones, psychomotor and cognitive growth.
- Ability to follow protocols, maintain safety, and communicate clearly with peers and parents.
- Team‑orientated, respectful of hierarchy and collaborative practices.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Minimum of a DE AP (Brevet d’Aptitude à l’Accueil des Petits) or CAP PE / AEPE (Certificat d’Aptitude à l’Enseignement de la Petite Enfance), or BEP CSS (Brevet d’Études Professionnelles, services de courte durée), or a Bac ASSP (Bachelor, Social Services).
- Preferably at least 2 years of experience in a child‑care setting post‑qualification, with micro‑crèche exposure valued.
