Job Description
**Job Title:** Contract Engineer (Civil / Electrical / Process / Project) **Role Summary:** Contract Engineers are hired on a project‑based, flexible schedule to deliver engineering solutions across construction, industrial, and infrastructure projects. Engaged in design, construction support, process improvements, and project coordination with a mix of onsite and remote responsibilities. **Expectations:** - Local to Northeast Ohio (eligible candidates only). - Hybrid or onsite work; travel within the region as required. - Contracts range from short‑term (few months) to multi‑year terms. - Pay commensurate with experience, education, and project scope. - Self‑sufficient in managing schedules, deliverables, and stakeholder communication. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct design and planning activities for civil, electrical, or process systems. - Provide construction/site support, including inspections and quality assurance. - Identify and implement process improvement initiatives. - Design and manage electrical systems, compliance, and safety controls. - Execute and coordinate project activities, ensuring timelines and budget adherence. - Facilitate collaboration between field teams and office stakeholders. - Prepare technical documentation, reports, and project status updates. **Required Skills:** - Proficient in engineering design, drafting, and analysis for civil, electrical, or process disciplines. - Knowledge of construction practices, building codes, safety regulations, and project management principles. - Strong problem‑solving and analytical capabilities. - Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to report to diverse stakeholders. - Time‑management skills and autonomy to meet project milestones. - Proficiency with CAD, BIM, or relevant engineering software; familiarity with MS Office suite. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related field. - Professional Engineering license (P.E.) or equivalent certification is preferred. - Project Management Professional (PMP) or Six Sigma certification is an advantage. ---
