**Job Title**: IT Security Analyst **Role Summary**: Safeguard organisational information assets and infrastructure by managing security controls, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Proactively monitor, analyse, and mitigate security risks. **Expectations**: Proven experience in IT security with strong threat analysis and incident response capabilities. Proficiency in security tools and compliance frameworks. Ability to prioritise tasks and adapt in dynamic environments. **Key Responsibilities**: - Maintain and optimise email security solutions (anti-phishing, anti-malware). - Lead incident response (identification, investigation, containment, remediation). - Analyse security alerts, conduct threat analysis, and initiate risk-mitigation actions. - Monitor network traffic, identify vulnerabilities, and implement security measures. - Manage vulnerability patching and system hardening practices. - Audit security policies and procedures, recommending improvements. - Administer mobile device security policies and endpoint protection. - Manage security ticketing systems for resolution and documentation. - Monitor logs and security systems to detect and prevent threats. - Promote security awareness through training and stakeholder engagement. **Required Skills**: - IT security experience in email, network, and endpoint security. - Incident response, threat analysis, and vulnerability management expertise. - Hands-on use of security tools (e.g., Mimecast, CrowdStrike, Rapid7). - Knowledge of firewalls, Active Directory, TCP/IP, and endpoint protection technologies. - Analytical and problem-solving skills for threat mitigation. - Compliance knowledge (GDPR, DPA, SRA) and best practices. **Required Education & Certifications**: - Bachelor’s degree in IT, cybersecurity, or related field. - Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, GCIH, CEH, CISSP) preferred.
