Job Description
Job Title: Inertial Sensor Product Development Engineer Role Summary: Drive end‑to‑end product development of high‑performance MEMS inertial sensors (accelerometers, gyros, IMUs) from R&D through mass production, ensuring alignment with market requirements, cost targets, and quality standards. Expectations: 5+ years in product development with agile processes, strong understanding of inertial sensor design, characterization, and calibration, experience in MEMS packaging/assembly, and proven collaboration with cross‑functional teams and external partners. Key Responsibilities: • Lead product development lifecycle using stage‑gate methodology. • Define and manage specifications, FMEAs, robustness disciplines, and design verification plans. • Design sensor packaging in coordination with suppliers and assembly partners; produce engineering drawings for reviews and quotations. • Work with MEMS, ASIC, and test teams to optimize performance and validate under AEC‑Q100, MIL‑STD, and other industry standards. • Support reliability testing, failure analysis, and root‑cause investigations. • Create product documentation (specifications, datasheets, application notes) and deliver technical presentations to internal and external stakeholders. Required Skills: • Product development and agile project management. • Inertial sensor design, characterization, testing, and calibration. • MEMS/IC packaging and assembly techniques. • Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) and robustness engineering. • Knowledge of AEC‑Q100, MIL‑STD, and related environmental testing standards. • Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration. Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, MEMS, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. • Familiarity with MEMS design tools and test instrumentation.
