Job Title: Cloud Engineer (AWS & Azure Multi‑Cloud Specialist)
Role Summary: Design, implement, and maintain a hybrid cloud architecture spanning AWS and Azure, ensuring high availability, security, and cost efficiency while supporting containerized, serverless, and legacy workloads.
Expectations: Deliver reliable, scalable solutions; collaborate with cross‑functional teams; maintain continuous service availability; engage in 24/7 on‑call incident response; continuously improve automation, security, and cost controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and deploy multi‑cloud infrastructure using EC2, S3, RDS, VPC (AWS) and VM, Storage, SQL, VNet (Azure).
- Develop and manage IaC with Terraform, ensuring consistency and version control across both clouds.
- Lead migration of on‑premises and existing applications to AWS/Azure, configuring hybrid connectivity.
- Deploy and manage containerized workloads (Docker/Kubernetes via EKS, AKS) and serverless functions (Lambda, Functions).
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines; write automation scripts in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Perform SQL optimization, database tuning, and advanced troubleshooting for relational (MySQL, SQL Server, RDS, Azure SQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB, Cosmos DB) systems.
- Implement security best practices: IAM/Entra‑AD, RBAC, network segmentation, encryption, compliance controls.
- Configure monitoring, alerting, and logging with CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, and third‑party tools (Datadog, Splunk).
- Analyze cloud spend, recommend and implement right‑sizing, reserved instances, and storage tiering.
- Participate in 24/7 on‑call rotation for incident response and troubleshooting.
Required Skills:
- 3–5+ years as Cloud Engineer or equivalent.
- Proven experience designing, deploying, and managing core AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC).
- Proven experience managing core Azure services (VM, Storage, SQL, VNet, AD, ARM/Terraform).
- Expertise in Terraform IaC.
- Proficiency in Python (preferred) and PowerShell or Bash for scripting.
- Strong SQL knowledge and database administration experience.
- Solid understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls, load balancing).
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes (EKS/AKS), CI/CD, and DevOps tools.
- Knowledge of security frameworks, IAM/Entra‑AD, RBAC, encryption, and compliance.
- Ability to monitor, log, analyze performance, and optimize cost.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
- Active professional certifications:
- AWS – Solutions Architect Associate / Developer Associate or equivalent.
- Azure – AZ‑104 (Administrator Associate) and/or AZ‑204 (Developer Associate).
