Job Description
Job title: DevOps Engineer Role Summary Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure across AWS, Linux, and Windows platforms. Focus on automation, monitoring, incident response, and collaboration with development teams to deliver reliable, scalable web applications. Expectations * 7–10 years of technology/IT experience with proven Linux administration at scale. * Self‑directed, proactive ownership of daily tasks in a fast‑growing environment. * Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills. Key Responsibilities * Manage and configure AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, etc.) and Linux/Windows servers. * Develop, test, and maintain build/deployment scripts using Jenkins/Hudson CI, Docker, Kubernetes, and other related tools. * Automate provisioning and configuration with tools such as Ansible or Terraform. * Monitor application performance with APM tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Hawtio); analyze logs, create and refine alert rules. * Respond to incidents, conduct root‑cause analysis, and participate in on‑call rotation. * Design CI/CD workflows, enforce best practices, and collaborate in sprint and design meetings. * Produce and maintain technical documentation for deployments, procedures, and dashboards. Required Skills * Linux system administration at scale, solid shell scripting (Bash), and scripting in Python. * CI/CD expertise (Jenkins, Hudson, Git), build tools (Gradle, Maven), and Java application troubleshooting (Tomcat, SpringBoot). * Containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes). * AWS core services, IAM, networking, RDS, EC2, S3, and basic VMware administration. * Monitoring & logging (Prometheus, Grafana, Hawtio). * Configuration management (Ansible, Terraform). * Version control (Git). * Strong written and verbal communication, time management, and customer‑service skills. Required Education & Certifications * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience. * Desired certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Linux Professional Institute Certificate, or similar.
