Job title: Marketing & Innovation Product Assistant (Intern)
Role Summary
Assistant to the Marketing & Innovation Product Manager, supporting all phases of cosmetic product and brand development for an international portfolio across skincare, haircare, makeup, fragrance, and lifestyle categories. The role focuses on market research, brand strategy, brief creation, project coordination, and communication support over a six‑month internship.
Expectations
- Deliver high‑quality market analysis, brand positioning, concept writing, naming, moodboards, launch plans, and assortment recommendations.
- Produce and maintain brand‑aligned product and packaging briefs in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate cross‑functional project timelines (R&D, lab, design studio, regulatory, logistics).
- Compile and present trend and competitive intelligence to the marketing team.
- Support brand activation: social content ideation, event support, communication collateral, and internal newsletters/mails.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct competitor and trend research; develop positioning maps and pricing studies.
2. Draft brand concepts, product descriptions, naming, moodboards, launch strategies, and assortment plans.
3. Create and update product and packaging briefs aligned with the brand platform.
4. Manage project schedules, coordinate stakeholders, and track deliverables from concept to launch.
5. Monitor market and competitor developments; prepare concise briefing documents.
6. Contribute to brand strategy and content creation for social media and events.
7. Design marketing materials (product sheets, labels, POS) and assist in internal newsletters and client mailings.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and creative thinking; ability to synthesize research into actionable concepts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in French and English, with solid grammar and editing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Canva, and email marketing tools (Mailchimp or equivalent).
- Project coordination skills; self‑motivated, organized, and detail‑oriented.
- Passion for cosmetics and familiarity with current market trends.
Required Education & Certifications
- Current student or recent graduate in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field from a higher education institution.
- Previous internship or experience in marketing, particularly within the cosmetics or fragrance industry, is highly advantageous.
