Job title: M&A Business Analyst (Intern)
Role Summary:
Support the M&A team in delivering end‑to‑end transaction services for small and mid‑cap clients, focusing on transaction execution, financial modeling, valuation, and client relationship management.
Expectations:
- Demonstrate independence and initiative on assigned projects.
- Build strong rapport with clients, directors, and investors.
- Maintain high analytical rigor and contribute to deal pipeline growth.
- Deliver actionable insights and documentation in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct sector and financial studies (macro/micro analysis, cash‑flow, gearing, contribution margin).
- Develop valuation models, business plans, and stress tests.
- Design and refine financing structures, addressing capital, securities, and legal aspects.
- Draft presentation memoranda, teasers, and other transaction materials.
- Manage relationships with existing clients and partners.
- Prospect new business opportunities: shortlisting, outreach, pitching, and negotiation.
- Collaborate directly with company executives, board members, investors, banks, and private equity firms.
Required Skills:
- Strong financial modeling and valuation capabilities.
- Analytical reasoning and ability to synthesize complex data.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Excellent written and spoken English; international experience is an asset.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proactive, decisive, and problem‑solving attitude.
- Sensitivity to shareholder concerns and corporate finance dynamics.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Graduate or final‑year student (MBA, Master’s in Finance, Economics, or Engineering) from a top business or engineering school.
- Academic background in accounting, finance, corporate strategy, or related disciplines.
- Relevant internships or work experience in M&A is a plus.
- No mandatory professional certifications required, though familiarity with valuation and deal‑making frameworks is desirable.
