Job Title: Geology Internship – Mining Exploration (Summer 2026) Role Summary: 3‑month internship focused on the Geological Exploration Phase of the Odyssey underground gold mine. Interns support drilling coordination, site inspections, and technical logging of borehole data. Responsibilities span fieldwork (60 %) and office analysis (40 %), including assistance with site safety, data compilation, and introductory geological modeling. Expectations: 60 % on‑site drilling operations, 40 % office data management. Requires adaptability, teamwork, and eagerness to learn both geotechnical and computer applications. Possession or ability to obtain a Class 5 driver’s licence and general explosives permit is mandatory. Key Responsibilities: - Coordinate drilling schedules with the exploration team. - Log and analyse borehole seismic, geotechnical and geochemical data. - Conduct site safety inspections and environmental compliance checks. - Record daily drilling progress and compile reports. - Assist with georeferencing and preliminary geological modelling. - Participate in underground mapping activities when appropriate. Required Skills: - Bachelor’s level study in Geology or Geo‑engineering. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). - Strong communication and collaborative skills. - Comfortable with GIS and geological software (basic proficiency acceptable).
