Job Title: IT Support Technician – Office 365 Specialist
Role Summary:
Deliver Tier‑3 support for Office 365, Windows Server, and network environments across multiple client sites. Administer Microsoft 365 services, secure Azure/Entra ID environments, perform firewall and network troubleshooting, and support migrations and virtualization in an MSP context.
Expectations:
- Complete onboarding within 30 days: shadowing, active ticket resolution, on‑site work, and consistent time‑tracking in ConnectWise.
- Provide proactive, customer‑focused service and clear communication to non‑technical users.
- Progress through the technician‑engineer‑consultant career ladder, taking on larger client portfolios over time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve Office 365 issues (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
- Administer Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Entra ID, and implement MFA, Conditional Access, and identity management.
- Troubleshoot, configure, and manage firewalls (Sophos, Cisco, SonicWall, Watchguard).
- Set up and maintain network infrastructure (APs, switches, routers, VLANs).
- Perform virtualization tasks and support Windows Server environments.
- Manage migrations, escalations, and onboarding of new clients in a hybrid remote/onsite model.
- Document all incidents and resolutions in the ticketing system, track time accurately.
- Collaborate with remote team members, share knowledge, and support peer learning.
- Provide exceptional customer service, explaining technical concepts in plain language.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years experience with Office 365 and Windows Server.
- 5+ years firewall troubleshooting (Sophos, Cisco, SonicWall, Watchguard).
- 5+ years network setup experience (installing APs, switches, firewalls).
- Hands‑on Microsoft 365 administration across multiple environments.
- Solid understanding of Azure/Entra ID security (MFA, Conditional Access, identity management).
- Experience in an MSP or similar service‑delivery environment.
- Proficiency with virtualization, networking fundamentals, and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Strong communication, customer‑service orientation, and the ability to explain technical issues to non‑technical stakeholders.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field (preferred).
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Azure Fundamentals, or similar.
