Job Description
**Job title:** DevOps Engineer 3 **Role Summary:** Lead and execute operational testing, monitoring, and incident response for a global consumer‑facing platform utilizing public cloud infrastructure. Drive continuous delivery of 99.9% uptime by coordinating with development, product, and support teams, and maintaining robust monitoring frameworks, dashboards, and SLA reporting. **Expectations:** - Achieve and sustain three‑nines uptime for web and mobile services. - Own full incident lifecycle: detection, mitigation, root‑cause analysis, and corrective action. - Participate in 24/7 on‑call rotation with structured hand‑offs. - Collaborate proactively with cross‑functional teams to align capacity, releases, and operational requirements. - Maintain up‑to‑date documentation, training, and security compliance. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, implement, and maintain monitoring tools, dashboards, and data archives for SLA/QoS reporting. - Develop and run automated health checks and status tests using custom and third‑party tools. - Lead incident response calls, enforce escalation procedures, and produce Root Cause Analysis reports. - Coordinate capacity planning, new feature deployments, and release readiness with developers and scrum teams. - Communicate operational status and changes to internal stakeholders and partner teams. - Conduct regular reporting, data extractions, and remediation follow‑ups. - Educate technical staff on best practices and ensure ISO 27001 security requirements are met. **Required Skills:** - Deep understanding of DevOps principles and cloud‑native operations (public cloud platforms such as AWS/GCP/Azure). - Experience with monitoring/alerting systems (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, etc.). - Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and automation tools. - Incident management expertise (ITSM tools, runbooks, RCA). - Strong collaboration and communication skills in agile environments. - Knowledge of service level agreements, performance metrics, and capacity planning. - Familiarity with security frameworks (ISO 27001, OWASP). **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience). - Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, or equivalent are highly desirable.
