Job Title: Lead Android Developer
Role Summary: Lead and architect Kotlin‑based Android applications, driving design, performance, and operational excellence. Own full lifecycle from design to deployment, ensuring high quality, resilience, and adherence to best engineering practices.
Expactations:
• Deliver scalable, secure Android solutions that meet business goals.
• Mentor and guide development teams, maintaining code quality through reviews and standards enforcement.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional stakeholders in an Agile environment to meet sprint targets.
• Continuously improve build, test, and release pipelines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, test, and maintain Android apps using Kotlin and Android SDK.
• Lead system design, focusing on performance, scalability, and operational stability.
• Develop unit and automation tests with JUnit; implement CI/CD pipelines and shift‑left testing.
• Integrate REST APIs, web services, and event‑driven microservices.
• Conduct code reviews, debugging, and maintenance in a large enterprise setting.
• Collaborate with product, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver business‑critical solutions.
Required Skills:
• 5+ years software engineering experience, with strong Android/Kotlin expertise.
• Proficient in Java, modern programming practices, and Android SDK.
• Hands‑on experience with JUnit, mobile testing strategies, and CI/CD.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies, application resiliency, and security best practices.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, microservices architecture, and enterprise application maintenance.
• Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
• Containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS) expertise.
• Exposure to Selenium, Cucumber, Playwright, and automation testing tools.
• Understanding of Cloud, Mobile, AI/ML domains is advantageous.
Required Education & Certifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
