Job Description
**Job Title:** Research Grants Intern **Role Summary:** Support the research grant team in administering the charity’s grant programme, including pre‑ and post‑award processes, financial monitoring, and stakeholder communication. Gain exposure to grant management software, research finance, and interaction with academic partners. **Expectations:** - Maintain accurate grant records and meet strict deadlines. - Deliver high‑quality administrative support with attention to detail. - Communicate effectively with researchers, reviewers, and internal staff. - Contribute to research communication initiatives when requested. **Key Responsibilities:** - Administer the grant application system, tracking submissions and reviews. - Identify relevant keywords and match proposals with expert reviewers; ensure timely completion of reviews and scoring. - Monitor financial expenditure of awarded grants and update records. - Review scientific progress reports within the grant management platform. - Respond to enquiries about funded research, research strategy, and related topics. - Assist with research communication tasks such as drafting blogs, opinion pieces, and social media/web content (optional). **Required Skills:** - Highly organized with strong time‑management and prioritization abilities. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills; interpersonal aptitude. - Keen eye for detail and accuracy. - Ability to work collaboratively in a small, motivated team. - Familiarity with literature search tools (e.g., PubMed, Google Scholar). **Required Education & Certifications:** - Currently enrolled in or recently completed an undergraduate programme in a bioscience discipline (e.g., life sciences, biochemistry, biomedical science). - No specific certifications required.
