**Job Title**
Cloud Security Engineer
**Role Summary**
Design, implement, and maintain security controls across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments for a federal client. Drive DevSecOps integration, automate security posture monitoring, and remediate identified vulnerabilities to uphold federal security standards.
**Expectations**
- Hold a US Public Trust clearance and US citizenship.
- Work remotely, occasionally onsite.
- Maintain multiple relevant cloud and security certifications.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Deploy and manage cloud security controls and monitoring for BOP clouds.
- Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
- Conduct security assessments of cloud infrastructure and applications.
- Remediate findings, produce remediation plans, and verify fixes.
- Automate security configuration and compliance checks using Terraform/CloudFormation and scripting tools.
- Implement container security: image scanning, runtime protection, and Kubernetes hardening.
- Develop and maintain cloud security documentation, SOPs, and knowledge bases.
**Required Skills**
- Hands‑on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP security services (IAM, VPC, WAF, Shield, etc.).
- Proficiency in DevSecOps toolchain and practices (CI/CD integration, SAST/DAST, secure coding).
- Infrastructure‑as‑Code security expertise (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Container security knowledge (Docker, Kubernetes, image scanning tools).
- Scripting/automation: Python, PowerShell, Bash.
- Familiarity with CSPM tools and zero‑trust architecture principles.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
- Certifications: at least one cloud credential (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Security Engineer, GCP Professional Cloud Architect) AND one security credential (CompTIA Security+, CCSP, CEH, or equivalent).
