Job Description: Job title: Founding Engineer (Pilot Phase) Role Summary: Remote senior‑level engineer responsible for designing, building, and maintaining core software systems for an early‑stage healthcare startup during a critical 90‑day employer pilot. Works directly with the founding team to define product scope, set technical strategy, and ensure high‑quality, scalable code. Expactations: - Deliver functional, reliable features for a live pilot with real users. - Operate with high ownership and visibility; make key architectural decisions. - Collaborate closely with founders and cross‑functional teammates. - Proactively identify and solve technical challenges under tight timelines. Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement web and mobile application components. - Build and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure and system architecture. - Establish and manage CI/CD pipelines, version control, and DevOps processes. - Conduct debugging, performance tuning, and code reviews to ensure quality. - Define technical standards, documentation, and best‑practice guidelines. - Coordinate with product and design to translate requirements into deliverable features. Required Skills: - Strong proficiency in modern web/mobile development languages and frameworks (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, Swift/Kotlin). - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and scalable architecture patterns. - Solid understanding of DevOps tools (Git, Docker, CI/CD, Terraform/CloudFormation). - Proven ability to debug, optimize, and refactor performance‑critical code. - Excellent problem‑solving, independent thinking, and proactive attitude. - Effective communication and teamwork skills in a remote, fast‑paced environment. - Startup or product‑development experience is a plus.
