Job Description
**Job Title**: IT Security Analyst **Role Summary** Support implementation and operations of security technologies to safeguard organizational systems, networks, and data. Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to maintain proactive security measures and improve tools, processes, and controls. **Expectations** Detail-oriented, technically curious, and analytical professional with a structured approach to risk identification and mitigation. Prioritize collaboration and continuous improvement in security practices. **Key Responsibilities** - Implement, configure, and manage security tools (SEG, SIEM, EDR, DLP, CSPM) under leadership supervision. - Monitor security alerts/events, analyze initial findings, and escalate incidents to intermediate teams. - Support compliance and audits by documenting controls, gathering evidence, and following standard processes. - Assist in incident response by collecting evidence, documenting results, and coordinating investigations. - Conduct vulnerability scans, track remediation progress, and validate fixes. - Maintain security runbooks, documentation, and procedures. - Perform identity and access management tasks (access reviews, privilege audits, account hygiene). - Collaborate with Infrastructure/DevOps teams to enforce cloud security in Azure environments. - Evaluate new security tools, conduct proof-of-concept tests, and document outcomes. **Required Skills** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience). - 0–2 years in IT security, systems, or networking roles. - Understanding of security concepts: authentication, encryption, patching, network segmentation. - Practical knowledge of at least one security tool category (SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners). - Ability to interpret logs, alerts, and vulnerability reports. - Cloud environment familiarity (Azure preferred) or willingness to learn. - Basic scripting/automation skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash) advantageous. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in a technical field. Security+ or Azure Fundamentals certifications are optional but beneficial.
