Interns work under a mentor on real product projects, contributing to code implementation, design reviews, and integration testing. **Expactations**: - Deliver functional source code that satisfies product requirements. - Participate in design analysis and evaluation of alternative solutions. - Create and maintain module‑level architecture documentation. - Perform unit testing, integration, and verification activities. - Install, configure, and qualify development tools and utilities. - Collaborate closely with a cross‑functional team in a manufacturing or office setting. **Key Responsibilities**: - Implement software components per specification. - Review designs, provide feedback, and suggest improvements. - Document architecture decisions and design details. - Write and execute unit tests to validate functionality. - Support integration and verification testing phases. - Deploy and configure development tools on-site. **Required Skills**: - Proficiency in a high‑level programming language (e.g., C/C++, Python). - Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and version control (Git). - Basic knowledge of medical device software compliance (IEC 62304, FDA 21 CFR 820) is a plus. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. **Required Education & Certifications**: - Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. - Sophomore or Junior standing preferred. - No specific certifications required; familiarity with embedded systems and safety‑critical development practices is advantageous.
