Job Description
**Job Title**: Landscape Architecture Intern **Role Summary** Assist in the development and execution of landscape architecture projects across diverse sectors, collaborating with architecture, engineering, planning, and surveying teams. Participate in concept generation, design development, technical documentation, and site visits, gaining mentorship and practical experience in a professional design environment. **Expectations** - Complete a 12‑week internship (May–August) with a minimum of 20 hours per week. - Deliver design contributions that meet quality standards and project objectives. - Communicate progress, questions, and findings to senior design staff in a timely manner. - Maintain professional conduct and adherence to project schedules and budget constraints. **Key Responsibilities** - Work within integrated design teams to prepare concepts, design development drawings, and graphic illustrations. - Draft and edit technical specifications and review shop drawings for accuracy and compliance. - Contribute to design meetings, capturing decisions and updating project documentation. - Compile research data and support the development of design solutions. - Attend construction or completed project sites to observe implementation and inform design decisions. **Required Skills** - Proficiency in AutoCAD, ArcGIS, SketchUp, Lumion, Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), and Microsoft Office Suite. - Strong visual communication and graphic illustration abilities. - Detail‑oriented technical drafting and specification editing. - Effective written and verbal communication with multidisciplinary teams. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑moving environment. **Required Education & Certifications** - Current enrollment in an accredited landscape architecture program, at least sophomore year or graduate standing, with expected completion within two years of internship start. - No additional certifications required beyond academic coursework. ---
