Data Scientist (F/M)
**Role Summary**
Data Scientist applies advanced analytics, machine learning, and representation learning to consumer data within Nestlé Zone Europe’s Data department. The role focuses on developing predictive and prescriptive models for consumer behavior, lifetime value, and audience segmentation, while collaborating across business, product, and technical teams to deploy solutions at a European scale.
**Expectations**
- Deliver high‑impact data science solutions that directly influence product strategy and business outcomes.
- Communicate findings and model insights clearly to non‑technical stakeholders in English.
- Operate within cross‑functional teams, maintaining alignment with product and business objectives.
- Demonstrate ability to work in a partially remote environment, spending ~40 % of time onsite.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of AI developments, including generative and agentic models.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Design, develop, and validate machine learning models for consumer behavior representation, lifetime value estimation, and audience segmentation.
2. Contribute to agentic and generative AI initiatives for audience creation and measurement.
3. Support product integration and deployment of data science solutions in collaboration with Product & Data Science Managers.
4. Monitor model performance, iterate, and refine models based on data quality and business relevance.
5. Generate actionable insights through ad‑hoc analyses and visualizations; identify opportunities for new use cases.
6. Gather user feedback and operational requirements, proposing data‑driven solutions to real‑world challenges.
7. Coordinate with internal (global, zone, country) and external stakeholders (consultants, media agencies) to deliver impactful results.
8. Maintain documentation of models, data pipelines, and analytical processes.
**Required Skills**
- Advanced proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit‑learn, NumPy, SciPy).
- Experience with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow).
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Azure Databricks), data warehousing (Snowflake), data transformation (DBT), and BI tools (Power BI).
- Strong statistical and machine learning knowledge, including representation learning, clustering, and predictive modeling.
- Ability to translate business requirements into analytical solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Collaborative mindset and experience working in cross‑functional teams.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Minimum of a Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Data Science, or Econometrics, obtained from a recognized university, engineering school, or Grande École.
- Professional certifications in data science, cloud platforms or machine learning are a plus.
