Job Description
**Job Title** Accounts and Audit Senior / Semi Senior **Role Summary** Deliver timely, high‑quality accounts, audit and tax compliance services to a diverse client base, ranging from sole traders to companies with turnovers up to £120 million. Work within a corporate team, covering accounts, audit, personal and corporation tax, and client engagement opportunities to broaden experience and develop business‑development skills. **Expectations** - Handle assignments under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy. - Provide proactive client service and contribute to consultancy opportunities. - Mentor and review junior staff, ensuring audit quality and compliance. - Engage in networking events to support business‑development activities. **Key Responsibilities** - Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with FRS 102. - Conduct audits, identify control issues, and draft audit reports. - Manage personal and corporation tax compliance for clients. - Lead and supervise junior team members on audit and accounts work. - Maintain knowledge of regulatory changes and advise clients accordingly. - Liaise with clients, attend meetings, and support ad‑hoc projects. **Required Skills** - Strong audit and accounts experience in a professional practice. - Proficiency with Sage, Xero, QuickBooks and Excel. - Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. - High attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem‑solving ability. - Self‑starter, strong organisational and time‑management skills. - Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. - Clean driving licence and ability to use own vehicle. **Required Education & Certifications** - Degree or equivalent in Accounting/Finance (or O3 with audit experience). - Qualified ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional designation preferred. - Ongoing CPD and willingness to maintain professional competence.
