Job Description: Job title: Senior Software Engineer Role Summary: Design, develop, and ship cloud‑native digital products that enable companies to measure and reduce their environmental impact. Lead high‑quality coding practices, collaborate with sustainability experts, and deliver frequent releases on a small, agile team. Key Responsibilities: • Build and maintain scalable services using Java, Python, JavaScript, and PostgreSQL. • Implement containerization (Docker), infrastructure as code (Terraform), and CI/CD pipelines. • Perform code reviews, pair programming, and uphold software craftsmanship standards. • Design and expose RESTful APIs and integrate with cloud provider services (AWS, GCP, Azure). • Translate sustainability insights into functional software solutions and data pipelines. • Deliver incremental releases, ensuring rapid value delivery. • Collaborate remotely with global teams and attend occasional in‑person meetings. Required Skills: • 5+ years as a Senior Software Engineer in a production environment. • Strong proficiency in Java, Python, JavaScript, and relational databases (PostgreSQL). • Experience with Docker, Terraform, CI/CD, and cloud platform services. • Expertise in RESTful API design and software architecture. • Solid coding standards, unit/integration testing, and code quality practices. • Excellent communication in English and French. • Ability to work in agile, cross‑functional teams and travel occasionally. Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. • Relevant cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, GCP Professional Cloud Architect, Azure Developer) are an asset.
