Business Analysis Intern
**Role Summary**
Support technology modernization across financial regulatory systems by gathering requirements, analyzing processes, creating documentation, and executing user acceptance testing (UAT) for enterprise applications (e.g., NMLS, CRM, SES). Participate in agile delivery cycles and collaborate with cross‑functional teams in a 12‑week paid internship.
**Expectations**
- Engage in discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, and sprint ceremonies (stand‑ups, refinements, planning).
- Produce clear, concise documentation and test artifacts within a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
- Demonstrate adaptability, strong communication, and a learning orientation toward financial regulation and state supervisory workflows.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements for ongoing projects and enhancements.
- Draft user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and use cases under guidance of senior Business Analysts.
- Support creation and maintenance of Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and High‑Level Requirements (HLRs).
- Plan and execute UAT cycles: write test scenarios, test cases, capture results, and triage findings.
- Verify defect fixes, clarify expected behaviors, and confirm resolution.
- Participate in product sprint ceremonies (stand‑ups, refinement, planning).
**Required Skills**
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Ability to create and interpret workflow diagrams (Visio, Lucidchart, similar tools).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with requirement‑tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalents).
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and detail‑orientation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s program in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Public Policy, Finance, or a related field.
- No professional certifications required, but knowledge of financial regulation or banking supervision is a plus.
