Job Description
Job Title: Cybersecurity Analyst Role Summary: Responsible for monitoring, investigating, and responding to security threats across on‑prem and cloud environments using EDR/MDR platforms, Zero Trust frameworks, and penetration testing to protect organizational assets. Expactations: Deliver timely incident investigations, root‑cause analysis, and remediation plans; maintain incident response documentation; conduct vulnerability assessments; enforce Zero Trust principles; collaborate with IT and vendors; stay current on emerging threats and technologies. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor alerts from EDR/MDR solutions (CrowdStrike, Arctic Wolf). - Investigate, triage and perform root‑cause analysis of security incidents. - Develop and update Incident Response Plans and After Action Reports. - Execute penetration tests and vulnerability assessments across Windows and Linux systems. - Implement Zero Trust architecture using platforms such as Zscaler. - Coordinate with internal IT teams and external vendors to align security posture with industry best practices. - Assist compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, GDPR, HIPAA, PCI‑DSS. - Provide actionable risk mitigation recommendations and security improvement initiatives. - Monitor cloud security (Azure, AWS) and threat intelligence feeds. Required Skills: - Proficient with EDR/MDR (CrowdStrike, Arctic Wolf), SIEM, threat intel platforms, vulnerability management tools. - Strong incident response, forensic analysis, and penetration testing capabilities. - Knowledge of Zero Trust security models and cloud security principles. - Familiarity with Windows/Linux administration and security hardening. - Excellent written and verbal communication for reporting and documentation. - Analytical, problem‑solving, and prioritization skills; ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). - 3–5 years of cybersecurity operations experience. - Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CEH, OSCP, or GIAC (GCIH, GCFA).
